Shih-Lung Lo graduated from National Taiwan University with an MA in Theatre Studies, and he received his Ph.D. in Theatre Studies from Sorbonne Nouvelle University in Paris, France. From 2012 to 2017, he taught Chinese language and literature in Paris Diderot University and Paul Valéry University in France. In 2017 he joined the faculty of National Tsing Hua University in Taiwan. Now he is Associate Professor of the Department of Chinese Literature, and Director of Chinese Language Center of National Tsing Hua University. His Ph.D. dissertation La Chine sur la scene française au XIX e siècle was published in 2015 under the sponsorship of Chiang Ching-kuo Foundation. Besides academic writings, he has translated several French classical and contemporary plays, including Derniers remords avant l’oubli and Juste la fin du monde of Jean-Luc Lagarce, Caligula of Albert Camus, La Demande d’emploi of Michel Vinaver, Don Quichotte chez la Duchesse of Charles-Simon Favart, and Un verre d’eau of Eugène Scribe. He is also a regular contributor to Stage and Screen Reviews published by Nanjing University. Tarryn Chun is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Film, Television, and Theatre at the University of Notre Dame, where she also holds a concurrent appointment in the department of East Asian Languages and Cultures and is a Faculty Fellow at the Liu Institute for Asia and Asian Studies. She has published widely on modern and contemporary Chinese theatre, and she is currently completing a book manuscript entitled Revolutionary Stagecraft: Theatre, Technology, and Politics in Modern China, which examines the relationship between technological modernization and artistic innovation in 20th-21st century Chinese theatre. She is also co-editor along with Xiaomei Chen and Siyuan Liu of Chinese Socialist Theatres of Reform: Performance Practice and Debates in the Mao Era (University of Michigan Press, 2021), an edited volume that reexamines Mao-era theatre and dance from the perspective of praxis and personal experience.

Born in Chongqing, China, Professor Liang Luo received her B.A. in Chinese and M.A. in Comparative Literature from Beijing Normal University, and her Ph.D. in East Asian Languages and Civilizations from Harvard University. She is Professor of Chinese Studies at the University of Kentucky. Her research was supported by the National Endowment for the Humanities, the National Research Foundation of Korea, the Reischauer Institute of Japanese Studies, the Humanities Research Centre at Australia National University, among many others. Chan Kwok Wai Bernice is currently the General Manager of the International Association of Theatre Critics (Hong Kong), and an examiner for the Hong Kong Arts Development Council (Drama Committee). She is also a panel member of the Hong Kong Drama Awards, The Hong Kong Theatre Libre, and the IATC(HK) Critics Awards, and she is also the Vice-President of the International Association of Libraries, Museums, Archives and Documentation Centres of the Performing Arts (SIBMAS).

She received the Hong Kong Arts Development Council-University of Leeds-Chevening Scholarships in 2005 and obtained her Master of Arts in Theatre Studies from the University of Leeds (UK). She was an Art Form Panel Member (Festivals) of the Leisure and Cultural Services Department (2011-2016) and an Advisory Committee Member of School of Drama, the Hong Kong of Academy of Performing Arts (2017-2018), and a guest host of Artscritique (2007-2018), a Radio and Television Hong Kong radio programme. Chan has curated and edited over 50 publishing projects about the performing arts. Her recent editorial projects have included Ten Years of A City: Selected Hong Kong Plays (2003-2012), which was awarded the 11th Hong Kong Book Prize in 2018. In 2021, she curated A Snap beyond Borders: An Online Archive and Education Project of Hong Kong Theatre and Performance Photography, which was received the Award for Arts Promotion and Education of the 16th Hong Kong Arts Development Awards.

A Leading applied theatre researcher, teacher, facilitator and practitioner in Asia, teaching in the Department of Drama Creation and Application at National University of Tainan in Taiwan, she has written seven books in Chinese about applied theatre and published papers and books extensively in both English and Chinese. Her major practice and research area is Community theatre, Reminiscence Theater, Oral History Performance and Museum Theatre in Eastern and Southeastern Asia. She has also written and directed more than thirty applied theatre productions since 2008 after she got her awarded PhD at Royal Holloway, University of London.
