2020年在疫情席捲世界、重創全球表演藝術產業之際落幕,2021年的國際邊境管制依舊嚴峻,全球化移動看似凍結凝滯,相較病疫之下的「新常態」,昔日唾手可得的交流、移動、邊界穿梭,越發顯得珍貴無比。如果現代戲劇在百餘年前由外輸入華語社群乃至亞洲,歐美戲劇在幾度美學變革中,何嘗不曾向外借力?在穿梭、跨越、交流、移動繼續受到拘束約制的2021年,未始不是重新檢視昨日以及之前的戲劇史中的移動、在戲劇空間裡跨疆越域的歷史足跡。

「空間、移動、資料庫:2021邁向新的戲劇/表演史學國際產學研討會」意圖探討審視不同地區不同歷史時期的表演美學交流、戲劇知識轉譯、藝術生產系統移動,乃至劇場從業人員的遷徙,以及它們是如何牽動了戲劇美學的生成與戲劇歷史的走向?除了地理空間的跨疆越域,也意圖討論在不同的時代背景下,戲劇/表演又是如何運用不同媒介的承載、適應不同空間的展演,進而涉入各地不同的戲劇型態的變革?當我們打開各時代/地區戲劇史不同的空間層面,又該怎樣建構新的更為適應如是戲劇史方法論的資料庫,以便更好的認識這些過去既陌生又熟悉的表演容貌?

本國際研討會在為期三天的研討會中,分別從五大單元論壇:【跨國語境中的國族想像與文化折衝】、【民眾劇場的在地化與跨疆域協商】、【從烏托邦到無座標:(小)劇場的物質與精神】、【媒介記憶中的跨疆域聲音/身體史】、【融入與在地戲劇史書寫】,進行跨域對談。期待透過講者的研究分享,搭建表演藝術產學界對話的平台。
