Hosted by the National Central University, and co-produced by partners around the globe, the 2^nd WSDC came to an end with the awarding ceremony and play-reading festival rounded off on 26^th Nov, 2016.

Katherine Hui –ling Chou, professor of Eng. Dept., National Central Univ., chairperson of the WSDC, thanked all the participants for the past two years and all of WSDC’s global partners whom make the competition possible. She is looking forward to the future English play-reading festival in the UK, the USA or Canada.

Xiaoping Lu, professor of College of Literature in Nanjing Univ., co-chairperson of the WSDC, thinks with the global attention setting on “Performance” and “Theater”, the competition and play-reading festival take us toe re-focus on “Drama”.

Chou and Lu also announced the 3^rd WSDC will be calling for entries from Dec 2016. In 2017, they are looking forward to bring the play-reading festival to more cities including Nanjing, Kaohsiung and Taipei.
